An evening with Chrissie Lidstone.

This is of chrissie with a glass of wine, she was all snuggled up on the sofa in her blanket drinking, i thought that said alot about her, as it shows her in a relaxed state and how she likes to spend her evenings. Good tv, a blanket, a glass of wine and some chocolate, sounds like fun.

Another moi!!!

Another painting of me, may be a little bit vain in this one, but its for a project Im doing.
It was posted on here before for a few days but I realised there were a few touches I wanted to go over.....so I took it off and this is what it looks like now.
Its done on loose canvas, which was nice to work on because it was easy to take around and has a nice leather skin feel to it.

Candy Mountain.

This piece is also up at The Art Centre in swindon old town. This one is of my friend Chrissie, and the reason why i called her piece "candy mountain" was because the colours in it are very vibrant and bold, it kinda reminds me of sweets:)  plus this weird twisted unicorn video we both watched once kinda reminded me of it.

Ryan Bayliss!

My boyfriend Ryan was happy enough to pose for me after much pestering for an exhibiton. At the moment they are up at The Art centre in Swindon Old Town until Sept 8th 2008, so if you have a free day and dont know what to do, i recommend go see it, there are some other good work up there too.

Moi!!!

What do you think of this piece? I don't know how i feel about this one. i started it round christmas 2007 and didnt finish it til early/mid 2008.....which to me is a big surprise because it does'nt take me this long to finish a piece....I think i was going through a stage of plainly not being in the mood and it shows in my opinion. But anyway....this is me, My hair now isnt dark brown its blond (my natural colour), I may do another up to date self portrait in the near future though.

Red Cheeks!

This chubby cheeked face is my Neighbors baby Shamus, i thought he'd be perfect to paint because he has the gorgeous colouring in his face, specially round his ears and forehead.

Sister!

This is of my sister Bekki...shes 18 months older than me and are very close. Im not sure wether I like this painting or not....there are some parts I love like the light on the left side of her face and her neck.....but there is something about her eyes in this piece that don't fit in with the rest of her face......But I have learned from this traumatic experience and grew (lol).

There are actually three of these paintings, but I couldn't get hold of the other one which is a shame cos its my favourite out of the them. The one on the left is of my mum when she was about 13, alot of people say I look like her in this painting....im not so sure:( The one on the right is again of my brother simon. I seem to be using his face alot, probly cos he had a perfect baby face...shame about his face now though...heh heh!!

Simon.

This painting is done in oil, Probably one of my first portraitures....This one is done of my brother simon.....hes about a few months old in this painting.

Clowns!!!

This painting was done in college, its about 4 ft x 4 ft. it was about childhood phobias. So I thought clowns, The circus, and old fashioned toys that are harmless can actually scare a child....the two little girls in the middle are of me and my sister Bekki from when we were about 4/5 years old.
