A coif is a hair covering worn by women and men of every rank during the tudor times, A coifs purpose was for protection, warmth and keeping the hair away from the face. For noble women, it was worn underneath headdresses and hoods.
I had some spare fabric and time so i decided to attempt to make one myself, and here is the finishing piece.......... bearing no make-up.... run screaming for the hills.
